Hey everyone!
My name is Ben Philip. I'm a 21 year old Journalism student at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.
I am starting a new weekly blog to tell the world about the adventures of a Scottish exchange student in Seoul, South Korea.
I'm currently in Doha, Qatar (where I was brought up for the most part of my teenage life) and shall be starting my Asian adventures on the 28th August when I will arrive in Seoul.
I'm incredibly excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity, and can't wait to immerse myself into South Korean society- learning about their culture, religion and general way of life.
I will be studying Media Communications at Hanyang University and will be staying in campus accommodation.
I'm looking forward to sharing my stories and pictures with you as I spend my semester in Korea. I am also hoping to do some travelling whilst I'm in that part of the world which hopefully will include destinations such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and Australia.
In the meantime, I shall be spending some quality time with my family before I go, and treating my Lonely Planet, Seoul guidebook as my Bible!
